[via Facebook – Coach Carlesi] Congrats again to the Stuyvesant baseball team with another win today against Newtown HS. Going into the break 4-0 tops in the division. Tobias Lange threw a spectacular game with 9 strikeouts and 104 pitches in 6 2/3 innings. Tobias dominated on the mound today and Jeremy Rubin came in again to close out the game with a final strikeout. Great small ball and situational hitting won today’s game. Way to go guys. Coach Hahn and I are proud of you.

Dear Parents and Players,

Hope your summer is going well. I know it’s early August, but it is time to get ready for the 2016/2017 baseball season. Please have your medical and consent forms completed by September 14th . We will have a fall tryout season starting on or about September 19th through October 28th for the Varsity and JV tryouts. The medical form must be completely filled out with parent’s signature, doctor’s stamp, date of medical and the doctor’s license number and signature. Without this information you cannot participate. If you are playing a fall sport your medical is good for baseball, but you will need a new consent form.

There will be a meeting for all players during the first week of school, a parents meeting will be announced when school begins. In the mean time please stay in baseball shape, get to the cages and throw during the summer. You can reach either of us at chetta314@aol.com or bbcoach200@aol.com or cell # 646-236-2062.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!!!!

Sincerely,
Coach Carlesi

Congratulations to the JV!

Congratulations to the Stuyvesant JV team for winning their division. The PSAL finally confirmed the forfeit against Beacon HS which gives the JV a 9-1 record. GW and Stuyvesant both have the same record but Stuyvesant beat GW three weeks ago which makes them the champions.
Great job guys and coach Joe!!!

Seniors

Yesterday we said goodbye to our senior at our annual awards luncheon and V&T’s restaurant on the upper west side. It was a good time had by all with a few tears shed, especially from me. We wish our seniors all the best when that start college in the Fall and to remember you will always have a place in your extended family at Stuyvesant.

Thank you for a great season to everyone.
