    JV Peglegs Fall to JV James Monroe Eagles After Surrendering Big Third Inning

    The Eagles defeated the Peglegs 9-1 thanks in part to five runs in the third inning.
    William Farmer and Nicolas Marchese each collected one hit for the Peglegs.

    The Peglegs chalked up another pre-season win today over John Jay. The final was 4-1. Iravan Bhattacharyya started on the mound but has to exit in the second with a blister on his pitching hand. He dominated from the start but his outing had to be cut short.

    Enter Ethan Lin!!!! Ethan had to come in cold but warmed up right away. He gave the Peglegs 5 innings of 1 run ball against a strong John Jay team. He was overpowering to most of the hitters and kept them off balance. Julian Malenda came in for the save in the bottom of the 7th.

    Stuyvesant’s bats were quiet, however.  One hit apiece by Sam Levine and Ethan Kirschner were all the team managed today.  Pitching and fielding saved the day.
