Stuyvesant’s four game winning streak came to an inglorious end on Thursday with a 17-7 loss to Bayside. Bayside put up eight runs in the first inning, including a grand slam, and never looked back, controlling the game from start to finish.

Nothing was working for the Peglegs – five pitchers combined to allow fifteen hits, five walks and four hit batters. At the plate, while Stuy managed ten hits, they were 3-18 with runners in scoring position. In the field, they made a season high five errors.

Even with this defeat, Stuy is 6-2 and remains in first place with a three game week ahead of them.
