Today the Peglegs fell to Francis Lewis by the score of 6-2. The lack of situational hitting and defense cost us the game. Malcolm Hubbell and Matthew Deutsch only gave up 2 earned runs in the loss. The only offensive bright spot was Franklin Liou who went 3-3 including his first PSAL homerun.
The Peglegs are now 5-2 in league play. Tomorrow we will be visiting Cardozo HS in Queens.

Stuyvesant Outdone By Francis Lewis, 6-2

Stuyvesant opened up scoring in the first inning, when Simon Carmody singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Francis Lewis pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Pena doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Ramirez’s sac fly scored one run for Francis Lewis, and Pagiatakis singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Malcolm Hubbell took the loss for Stuyvesant. He lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out five.

Stuyvesant tallied nine hits. Franklin Liou and Carmody each racked up multiple hits. Liou led the team with three hits in three at bats.
