The Hitmen pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A passed ball scored Mike Mazzeo to give the Hitmen the lead for good. Timothy Diep put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Hitmen. He doubled in the first inning and tripled in the fifth inning. Peter Lucido got the win in relief for the Hitmen. Lucido pitched two innings and allowed no runs. The Hitmen jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Diep got things going for the Hitmen with a double. A passed ball then moved him from second to third. Mazzeo tripled, driving in both Diep and Ben Sydel. The fifth spelled defeat for Environmental, as the Hitmen grabbed the lead for good with runs scoring on a sacrifice fly by Sydel and an RBI single by Mazzeo. After pushing across two runs in the top of the seventh, Environmental Studies brought the tying run to the plate, but closer Max Litvack-Winkler got the strike out to end the ballgame.
