In the final pre-season warmup before the first PSAL game, the Wrath Hitmen played solid baseball despite a five to four defeat against Eleanor Roosevelt. Ethan Kirschner toed the rubber for  the Hitmen and shined with remarkable pitch location. He surrendered two runs on two hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out ten and walking one. Catchers Adam Lucey and Jordan Gray each threw out a baserunner, shutting down the opponent’s running game. But Eleanor Roosevelt’s hitting picked up in the final innings and a few costly plays handed them the game. Ben Harwayne threw two-thirds of an inning in relief. Julian Singer went two-for-three at the plate to lead the team in hits.
